A lot of people who don't have an awful lot of money will go to flea markets and garage sales. The problem is they end up buying all these things they don't actually need. So instead of saving money they end up spending it. Finding a bargain is all very well and good but make sure you really do need the product.

Every time you feel the urge to put your hand in your pocket, please walk away and come back in half an hour. If you still feel you need it then perhaps you should. But hopefully you will realize that you don't really need to after all.

I'm all for supporting local people and businesses. But you can't do that at the expense of your debt problems. There are people out there you don't have debt problems, let them support the local economy.

I do think that buying used items is a good thing if you need to buy something. Often you can things that are hardly even worn. I find it amazing that there are still people out there who chuck things away when they're done with them. That's simply revolting to me.
